Virus/Malware problems

If the problem isn't too severe, many malware/spyware problems can be fixed in about an hour of work. But usually, by the time a computer gets to me, the problem is bad enough that it's typically quicker to fix it by reinstalling Windows and starting over. This is usually the best way to solve the problem, and when I do this I backup all of your files, programs, emails, printers, and settings, and return your computer to you with everything just the way it was but without the problems.

For a home computer, there is typically less information to deal with and the work can be performed in about 2 or 3 hours.

With a business computer, with more information and more sensitive details to take care of, it is typically 3 to 4 hours of labor.
